The Lone Rangers have heavy-metal dreams and a single demo tape they can’t get anyone to play. The solution: Hijack an FM rock radio station and hold the deejays hostage until they agree to broadcast the band’s tape.
Before Brendan Fraser became an action heartthrob with The Mummy, before Adam Sandler gave us comedies such as Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore, and before the always excellent in everything he does Steve Buscemi gave us Carl Showalter, Garland Greene, Donny Kerabatsos, Rockhound (the list just goes on and on), they were The Lone Rangers!
Wait, how can you pluralise Lone Ranger?
This movie was a favourite of mine growing up and after watching it again recently I feel it still holds up pretty well. Yeah it’s cheesy but it is a decent, funny movie that doesn’t try to be anything special. And the music is great.
